Citra is an American aroma variety and one of the most sought-after hops in craft brewing. Grapefruit and lime lead the aroma, backed by peach, melon, passion fruit and lychee.
Polyphenol Aroma pellets are made by separating parts of the hop cones in a nitrogen atmosphere. They are rich in polyphenols with a moderate alpha acid content. Added at the start of the boil, the pellets provide bitterness and a hop base; at the end of the boil they maximise aroma and raise the beer’s polyphenol content.
