Vera Hop (USA)
Product detailed description
Vera is a new aromatic hop variety, officially released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA-ARS) in June 2025. Previously known by the codes HRC-003 or W1108-333. It is characterized by a clean and intense aroma of tropical fruits (pineapple, mango), stone fruits (peach), and subtle citrus notes. In the finished beer, the profile is very stable and closely matches the aroma of the dried hops. Due to its lower alpha acid content, it is primarily used as an aromatic hop for late hopping and dry-hopping. It is suitable for modern styles such as NEIPA, Pale Ale, Hazy IPA, or aromatic lagers. It works well in combination with Citra and Mosaic varieties, but is also sufficiently complex for “Single Hop” beers.
