TerraFlux™ is the new name of HBC 682 – a super-alpha hop from the Hop Breeding Company bred for bittering. It is built for early kettle additions, where the high alpha content means a small charge is enough.
It delivers a smooth, neutral bitterness with a clean finish that never turns harsh. The aroma stays in the background – herbal and earthy with a woody note and a hint of citrus – so it does not crowd out late additions of aroma varieties. Excellent storage stability is a bonus: the alpha acids hold up well in storage.
Use it as the backbone of your bitterness in the first hop addition. It suits any beer where bitterness should be clean and neutral: Pale Ale, West Coast IPA and Imperial IPA, as well as Porter and Stout.
