    Protosol is a colloidal silica sol for fining wort and beer.

    It supports the sedimentation of proteins and other solids; it is added at the end of fermentation, typically before the main fining agent (isinglass), to clarify the beer fully.

    The usual dose is 20–200 ml/hl depending on the amount of solids in suspension; determine the exact dose with a small-scale trial.
