Protofine
Product detailed description
Protofine is a food-grade silica-based fining agent.
When beer is transferred from the fermenter to the lagering tank, it supports yeast flocculation and the precipitation of protein complexes — less haze, shorter lagering and better filtration.
The usual dose is 10–40 g/hl; it is added dissolved as a 5.4% aqueous solution at transfer to cold maturation.
