Crisp Flaked Torrefied Maize is maize flakes. The grits are micronised at high temperature, the starch gelatinises and they go straight into the mash.

They lighten the beer's colour and body and add a gently malty tone recalling cornflakes.

Makes up to 25% of the grist. For pale American-style Lagers; in distilling, the base of bourbon.
