Crisp Flaked Torrefied Barley is barley flakes made from torrefied barley: the high temperature gelatinises the starch, so they go straight into the mash with no cooking.

They improve the foam and add body; compared with wheat they have a slightly sharper, grainy flavour: in a Stout they support its typical bite.

Dosed at up to 10% of the grist; they work across styles: a classic in Stouts.
